Why Early Training Matters

The Window Is
Short.

A puppy's socialization window closes around 16 weeks. What your dog experiences, learns, and gets used to before that point shapes their temperament for life. Most behavior problems in adult dogs trace directly back to what wasn't addressed early.

Waiting until your puppy is older, more out of control, or "ready" is the single biggest mistake Miami dog owners make. The best time to start training is the day you bring your puppy home.

Pack Protocol's puppy training program in Miami is built around this window. We cover the foundational skills, socialization exposure, and handler education that sets you and your dog up for a lifetime of good behavior.

With over 20 years of experience working with dogs across South Florida, founder Kristopher Fonte has seen what happens when puppies get the right start — and what happens when they don't.

Socialization Window Closes at 16 Weeks

Early positive exposure to people, dogs, sounds, and environments prevents fear and reactivity later. We build this in from the start.

Habits Form Fast

Whatever your puppy practices in the first months becomes automatic. Build the right habits early and you avoid retraining later.

Owner Education Is Half the Work

You'll learn as much as your puppy does. Knowing how to communicate clearly with your dog is what keeps the training alive at home.

Prevention Is Easier Than Correction

Fixing bad habits in a 2-year-old dog costs more time, money, and stress than preventing them in a puppy.

Curriculum

Everything Your
Puppy Needs.

01
Potty Training

A clear, consistent schedule and system so your puppy understands where and when to go. We cover crate routines, accident prevention, and how to handle setbacks.

02
Bite Inhibition

Puppies explore with their mouths. We teach them early what is and isn't appropriate so nipping never becomes a problem.

03
Crate Training

A crate-trained puppy is a safe, calm, settled dog. We build positive associations early so the crate becomes your puppy's preferred space.

04
Socialization

Structured exposure to people, dogs, sounds, surfaces, and environments. We build a confident, well-adjusted dog before the socialization window closes.

05
Name Recognition

The foundation of every command. Your puppy learns to orient to you immediately and reliably before anything else is built.

06
Sit, Down and Stay

Core obedience commands taught through marker training so your puppy learns fast and responds consistently in real life.

07
Leash Manners

Walking on a loose leash through Miami neighborhoods, parks, and sidewalks without pulling, lunging, or losing focus.

08
Recall

Coming when called, reliably. One of the most important safety skills your dog will ever learn, built from the very beginning.

Training in Miami

Built for South
Florida Life.

Miami presents unique training challenges. We factor them all in.

High-Rise and Condo Living

Elevator manners, hallway behavior, staying calm in tight spaces with neighbors. Brickell, Edgewater, and Downtown puppies need urban-specific training from the start.

Hot Weather and Outdoor Distractions

Training your puppy to focus despite heat, other dogs at Bayfront Park, and the constant foot traffic of Miami neighborhoods requires real-world exposure from day one.

Busy Family Households

Kids, guests, other pets. We train your puppy in the real environment they live in so behavior holds when it matters most, not just in a quiet training room.

South Florida Breeds

Doodles, Labs, Frenchies, Pitbulls, German Shepherds — Miami has them all. Every breed has different drives and tendencies and we train accordingly.
